Resounding Joy has had an incredible summer and is looking forward to the fall season. As many know by now, Christine is singing with us which adds not only her beautiful voice, but also adds another 'voice' to the ministry.

Resounding Joy has been busy working on covering some Christmas songs and we pray to have a Live Christmas Demo by the end of November for our brothers and sisters to enjoy.

What's on our hearts is to produce a full length CD, professionally mastered & packaged in early 2010.

Come out and be filled. Jesus is waiting for you!

Catching Up...

It's been awhile since our last post, and a lot has happened in between. July went something like this:

I was out of the country for almost 3 weeks (China) for my second adoption. It was an amazing journey, Mia is a beautiful, happy baby! Ciana is such a fantastic 'Big' sister! I will post a pic below. Unfortunately, I came down with food poisoning (e.coli) the day after I got home and Michael had to go it alone for a few events. Praise God it was me and not any of the girls! Thank you for all of your prayers...

August 8, Resounding Joy performed in Beach Haven (LBI) for a family concert. We were happy to be part of this event. Resounding Joy's sound was enhanced by the beautiful voice of Christine Kantenwein.

We thank the Lord for all of the opportunities Resounding Joy has been given to glorify Him and always look forward to the next time....

A Busy June...

Hope everyone's summer is going well. Just a quick post to update you where we've been & what we're up to. We had a great evening (June 20th) at The Word Shop Parable Christian Store. Owners Don & Cathy made us feel right at home and we had the opportunity to meet & fellowship with many that evening, if you're in the area, make sure you visit their store!

Fast-forward to June 26th, 27th, 28th...

We started last weekend at Body & Soul opening their new 'Corner Cafe'. We were honored that George & Wuzzy asked us to kick-off their grand opening. It was great seeing familiar faces (Pastor Bob), as well as meeting new friends. We had a fantastic evening and weather did not deter people from attending. We were humbled by the warmth & generosity of George & Wuzzy! God filled the room to capacity! We always look forward to visiting them and certainly look forward to playing there in the future!

Saturday (27th) found us at the pavillion in Ocean Grove... As usual, it was amazing. We met some wonderful new friends and even saw some familiar faces. We love Ocean Grove! God's Square Mile....

Sunday (28th) founding us in Ewing, NJ to play 'Save The Sanctuary'. It was a Blessing to be part of this and would like to thank our friend John Slover and our new frieinds, Bob & Helen Kull... We pray that the Sanctuary is saved...

Late that evening, John Slover invited us to do a quick, impromptu performance at his church. All of the amazing animated figures on stage were created & designed by John! Our friends John, Helen &Bob found themselves inside those robots! It was a lot of fun...

Also, thanks to our good friend Nick, who also serves as our tech...

Sunday- Calvary Chapel New Brunswick

Resounding Joy kicked-off Calvary Chapel New Brunswick coffeehouse this past Sunday. We had an amazing time and would like to thank Pastor Jason, Shelly and all the staff for making us feel so welcomed. The Lord filled the room and Michael & I were Blessed to take part of this 'Grand Opening'.

We will pray for the success of this coffeehouse and look forward to performing there in the future. Thanks to all who came out for this....

P.S. We were sad to learn that some of our friends got lost.

Saturday-Ocean Grove

This past weekend, we returned to the Barbaric Bean in Ocean Grove. The weather was perfect to kick off Resounding Joy performing alfresco... Thank you to all who came and supported us. We'd like to especially thank our families & friends who were able to attend. Finally, thanks to all the new friends we made that night and thanks to the Bean Crew for making us feel at home. ;-)

Intimate Night @ Crosstown Acoustic Cafe

On February 24th, Resounding Joy had another incredible evening in Ocean Grove, NJ. We were truly Blessed to perform for such a wonderful room of people. The Lord filled the room and we are so thankful for all that He does in our lives. It was great seeing our friends there and are thankful for their support. We also enjoyed meeting new friends and hope to see you at our upcoming shows.

Wow... We had such a great time on Saturday at the Barbaric Bean. A big shout-out to Joe & Margie (Domo arigato!! ) and Megan & Josephine who made us feel so welcomed. Also, a big shout-out to Big Daddy & Ruth, Dan, Brad & Their family & friends; Julie, Joe & the all their wonderfull friends who came over from Crosstown Acoustic Cafe. The Lord filled the room, and we were Blessed to have all of you as an audience. When there were no more chairs to go around, some brave souls brought in some from outside. :) (Brrrrrr)

Whether playing there or just stopping in for some great coffee, we always look forward to going to "The Bean". It was great seeing all of you and we look forward to the next time we get together...

Lutheran Church of the Messiah

Friday night we were invited to take part in a friendship dinner at Lutheran Church of the Messiah. We were invited by our brother, Rocco Ghezzi, a missionary in Thailand. The gracious hosts of the event, John and Aruna Desai, campus directors (ISI) welcomed us with open arms. We were so Blessed to take part of this event.

There were ninety friends from all around the world: Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Korea, Latvia, Malawi, Nepal, Philipines, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Trinidad and the good ole, USA.

I don't know about you, but I'm not a big fan of cold weather, especially when it gets this cold.

Mike and I both prefer warmer weather, as does our families. Since we love playing outdoors, frigid weather is not conducive to making music outside. :)

In any event, we look forward to seeing our friends stop by at our January 24th event at
The Barbaric Bean. Make no mistake,
there is nothing barbaric about this place.

The coffee and snacks are first-rate, and the hospitality is second-to-none.
It will be a cozy, intimate atmosphere for sure.

There's nothing like the sound of an
espresso machine on a cold night underneath the sounds of Resounding Joy :)

Keeping Christ In Christmas

We've been busy working on our latest recording as well as working on a banner. We hope to have it done and printed sometime in January. Stay tuned, we might even give a sneak peek.

We recently did a couple of intimate worship events for friends and put our Resounding Joy on Christmas songs. It was such a blessing to play such meaningful songs.

Session Fun On Saturday

We had a great time Saturday afternoon laying some tracks for our latest demo. Michael was laying down some vocal tracks, I did some percussion and we even both laid down some hand-clapping and background vocals. It was a blast! Mary managed to take a couple of shots of us. Resounding Joy Hanging In Howell

Wow, what a time we had Friday night @ Holy Grounds. Michael and I had such an amazing night and are so glad some of our close friends were able to share the evening with us. A big shout-out to our friends Larry, Ruth, Dan, Don, Mary & Ruth's family! A big shout-out to Jim, Tony, Tommy, Augie and Bobby! Prayzm 5 were simply fantastic. They've got great songs and such great chemistry, they truly are doing the Lord's work. Michael and I are so glad we connected with them, they're a great bunch of guys. They were gracious enough to let Michael & I perform a couple of tunes. A big shout-out to Bill, who owns Holy Grounds. He too is also doing God's work and provides such a great venue for not only his customers, but also for supporting live, Christian music.

Michael & I will be heading to Holy Grounds this Friday to see Bill and to watch Prayzm5 perform. It will be a fantastic night for sure....

Saturday will also be busy, as we'll be in the studio and attending Calvary Chapel (Old Bridge) for the Christmas concert later that evening. We hope to see you there.....

Resounding Joy - Ocean Grove,NJ

Nick-Mike

Where do I begin? We decided to go to Ocean Grove yesterday. As you can see, the weather was a bit chilly. Nothing like Ocean air, even @ these temps. We made our rounds to some of our favorite spots in town. Later that evening, we went to Crosstown Acoustic Cafe to see the Band Oracle and guest artist Jay Cortese perform.

We had such an enjoyable time and made some new friends as well. (A big shout out to the band Oracle and Jay Cortese!) This was my first time @ Crosstown Cafe, and I really thought it was a great, intimate place to play. The audience was fantastic and very respectful while the bands performed.(Michael played there solo before him & I got together)

Embracing Our Direction

Those in our "inner circle" know that we were attempting to adapt our sound/direction by adding other instrumentation. Without boring you with the details, after months of trying to find additional members, it just never came to fruition. God's plan is our plan and I'm happy to say that after all of this, we learned some valuable lessons. Both Michael and I are happy where we're at and we have renewed vision for our duo.

We have a very cool thing going as a duo and our sound has a different twist, especially in the contemporary worship genre. Michael and I are looking forward to spreading "Resounding Joy" as much as we can. Today we will be working on some arrangements and start planning our schedule. God Bless...
